About us
Located at 1191 Lansing Avenue in Sudbury, Ontario, The Workplace is a coworking space aiming to help small and medium businesses by offering an affordable and comfortable workspace. The Workplace is there to help with day-to-day business requirements with the benefit of having a receptionist available.
The ultimate goal is to build a community of various business people who would not normally have the opportunity to connect and work together. We encourage the sharing of space, ideas and support in the business community.
When further privacy is needed, we are happy to arrange a private office (short or long-term) as well as boardrooms for meetings or workshops.
Many different work areas and packages are available to help accommodate different types of businesses; check them out here!
What is coworking?
Coworking is a style of work that involves a shared working environment, often an office, and independent activity. Unlike in a typical office environment, those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization.
Who is coworking for?
Typically it is attractive to work-at-home professionals, independent contractors, or people who travel frequently who end up working in relative isolation.
Coworking offers a solution to the problem of isolation that many freelancers experience while working at home, while at the same time letting them escape the distractions of home.
How does it work?
Coworking is the social gathering of a group of people who are still working independently, but who share values, and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with like-minded talented people in the same space.
